All undergraduate students at Oxford Brookes have the opportunity to study in another country for one or two semesters. You can choose from universities and partner institutions in Europe, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Thailand, Uruguay or the USA.

Modern Language Students

Modern language students will spend a year abroad as part of their course, either studying or undertaking work experience. Living and studying or working abroad provides you with an excellent opportunity to improve language fluency and to experience a new culture.

We have links with universities in Aix-en Provence, Angers, Brussels, Grenoble, Lyon, Paris Alicante, Granada, Madrid, Navarra, Salamanca, Valencia, Zaragoza, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya or Kitakyushu. We also have connections in Latin America with universities in Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay.

If you are studying French, there are opportunities to work as a language assistant teaching English at a secondary or primary school in France or a French-speaking country.

For French students combing with a business-related subject you may able to go on a work placement in a French speaking country.
